Join AWWIN (Assisting Working Women In Need) on Friday, May 8, 2015 at the Mighty Eighth Air Force Museum in Pooler, GA as they will honor some trailblazing women in our communities. Guests will have the opportunity to meet ten outstanding women leaders in the community as they are honored as the AWWIN Top Ten Working Women Of The Year.

AWWIN, Inc is a 501(c)(3), publicly supported organization designed to assist single working women and their children. AWWIN is a Savannah, Georgia-based nonprofit organization, founded in 2000, by Sarahlyn U. Argrow to provide support services to women, whereby enabling them to become self-sufficient. AWWIN primary career development services include: occupational training, job-readiness, job retention and life-skills training and asset management. These career development services are enhanced by monetary support for living necessities such as assistance with clothing (Professional Dress For Success) utility bills and childcare (ACAPP). Over the past 14 years, AWWIN has assisted well over 1000 families. AWWIN has a proven track record of contributing to the growth and economic status of women in our communities. As AWWIN celebrates ten years of celebrating outstanding women in our country they are excited to announce the AWWIN Leadership Academy will award three cash scholarships to three area graduating high school students from Chatham and Effingham Counties.

The 2015 keynote speaker is Mrs Destiny Wright Bradshaw, the Program Manager Effingham-CONNECT/Help. The MSc for the Gala are Raquel Rodriguez—WSAV Producer & Anchor of WSAV Coastal Sunrise Weekend and Jordan Riles Ogden of Savannah State University & Miss Black Georgia USA Scholarship Pageant.
